Load Balancing Options

Equalizer's adaptive load balancing algorithms user-configurable to integrate any or all of the following measurements: 

• Server response time - Observed in-band as each connection is processed
• Active sessions at server - measured from connection setup to tear-down
• Direct server measurements - using optional/extensible server agents
• Server weighting - Administrator assigned priority values
• Network observed latency - When using optional Envoy software

User Interface

A simple character-based configuration utility makes the initial configuration of the Equalizer a snap.

Administrators can perform most Equalizer management tasks from any Web browser using the Equalizer's powerful html-based administration interface.

Command-line administration is also supported. Secure Shell (SSH) permits secure command-line access.
